To be Qualified for the certification

   To be eligible for the PHRi you must meet one of the following conditions for education and/or experience: Have at least one year of experience in a professional-level HR position + a master’s degree or global equivalent, Have at least two years of experience in a professional-level HR position + a bachelor’s degree or global equivalent, OR Have at least four years of experience in a professional-level HR position.

Exam Fee*: $395.00 + Application Fee: $100.00

   To be eligible for the SPHRi you must meet one of the following conditions for education and/or experience*: Have at least four years of experience in a professional-level HR position and a master’s degree or global equivalent, Have at least five years of experience in a professional-level HR position and a bachelor’s degree or global equivalent, OR a minimum of seven years of experience in a professional-level HR position. * The SPHRi requires documented knowledge of local employment laws.

Exam Fee*: $495.00 + Application Fee: $100.00

What Is the Exam Format and Length?

For the PHRi Exam Time: 2 hours and 15 minutes (plus 30 minutes administration time)

Exam Length: 90 scored questions (mostly multiple-choice) + 25 pretest questions

Computer-based exam at a Pearson VUE testing center  or at your home or office using OnVUE

For the SPHRi Exam Time: 2 hours and 45 minutes (plus 30 minutes administration time)

Exam Length: 115 scored questions (mostly multiple-choice) + 25 pretest questions
